Nicolas Jimenez

Nicolas Jimenez is a Research Associate in the Rutgers Blueberry and Cranberry Breeding Program. His research focuses on understanding the genetic and genomic of relevant traits in blueberry and cranberry and on developing efficient, cost-effective breeding strategies to accelerate crop improvement. He has broad experience in plant improvement, quantitative analysis, and molecular tools, with previous work in wheat, table grape, and strawberry. His interests center on connecting data-driven discovery with cultivar development to support more informed selection and lasting progress in breeding programs.
