To foster and maximize the vitality of the production agriculture sector of New Jersey's economy so all New Jersey residents have access to healthy, locally-grown foods and a high-quality, living environment.

Mission

• Foster excellent graduate and undergraduate education in production and urban agriculture
• Provide, education, and training programs to stakeholders in the production agriculture and horticultural industries in the state and region
• Establish and sustain nationally and internationally-recognized research and outreach programs of global importance in production and urban agriculture
• Develop and deliver scientific research-based solutions to stakeholders in agricultural and horticultural industries in New Jersey and the surrounding region
