The Green Industry Vocational Skills Training Internship Program is open to horticultural therapy students who are interested in providing green industry career and technical education to individuals with disabilities who are seeking competitive employment in the community.

Competitive Grant Funded Stipend Detail
- The internship will provide a competitive stipend to 6 students in 2023. (3 per summer session)
- If you are selected to receive the stipend you must register for the course 11:776:427 (Vocational Skills Training in Horticultural Therapy) for 3 credits.
- Stipend amount per summer session per student is $3300.
- Two of the 3 students that receive the stipend, must attend the Annual American Horticultural Therapy Association (AHTA) meeting to present a poster on their internship experience (physical travel conditional to COVID crisis). Mr. Gary Altman will decide on students attending based on performance during the internship. Cost of travel will be covered through the vocational skills training grant.
- If you are a non-matriculating (non-degree seeking) student, you are NOT eligible to receive the grant funded stipend, however you may still participate in the internship through the course 11:776:427.
